Greetings! I am beyond excited to be your school counselor at Sanford Elementary! I have been an advocate for children since 2006. First as a special education teacher, then as a school counselor. The social and emotional health of the students at Sanford is my number one priority. My job is to maximize student success through addressing social-emotional issues inside and outside of the classroom. Classroom guidance lessons, small group and individual sessions, and classroom interventions are a few ways I provide support. Lessons on respect and empathy for others are a few of my favorites to teach. Collaborating with parents and teachers is an important (and also a favorite) part of my job, so please reach out if you need anything!   

I am a West Texas girl from Odessa but have been in the north Dallas area for over 10 years. My bachelor’s degree is from Texas Tech University and my Master’s degree is from The University of North Texas. I currently live in McKinney with my beagle-mix pup named Rookie. We love nature hikes and spending time at the lake in the summer.
